“Most festivals drown in bleak drama — we champion the absurd. In tough times, people need films that let us laugh at the chaos.” - Daniel Booroff | Founder
Celebrate the surreal. Laugh at the chaos.
About
The Brighton Absurd Film Festival is a bold new event dedicated exclusively to absurdist cinema — films that embrace the strange, the surreal, and the hilariously illogical. Unlike most festivals that lean heavily on drama, BAFF is here to showcase works that dare to challenge conventions with dark comedy, existential dramedy, surrealism, and avant-garde invention.
Online Screening Event
Join us for a 90-minute online screening of short absurd-only films, carefully curated from around the world. Expect bizarre narratives, surreal visuals, and a celebration of chaos that will keep you laughing and questioning in equal measure.
